3 Marking Period

Assignment 21a-c.

For this assignment I used Sketches and created various shapes in 2D by using the line tools and the rectangle and the circle tool to create the shapes. I then set the view so that the camera would be in the front. after that i used the pull tool to create a 3D shape.
Using the last assignment as a guide i created my name in 3D form and Although its not perfect i was able to create by using simple shapes and then using the pull toll to make it 3D.
22.

For these assignments i used SketchUp 8 and created various 3D blocks by first creating 2D shapes such as a square and rectangles. By using the push and pull tool this will help create the 3D effect on the shape. by creating other shapes on the same block i will be able to push in pull away shapes to get the final look. some things i have learned to use during these assignments is using the dimension tool which will allow me to see the exact number measurement of the sides in the block and the fill bucket which will help me add colors to the block.
Assignment: Quiz
Using the basics i have learned in SketchUp 8 i have created this block using the curve line tool and the line tool to get that look. but taking measurement i was able to make half circles and a quarter of a circle into the block to make it realistic looking block.
#23: Recreation of A snoopy gingerbread house:

to recreate this gingerbread house i looked for something festive and what i thought was best for the holidays is SNOOPY from peanuts. Since you can't go bad with snoopy i recreated his house in a sugary treat. i took measurements and used the curve, square, and free hand drawing tools to get the look. in order to give the house the 3D look i used the push and pull tool. Finally i searched up a recreation of snoopy on SketchUp and rotated him so that it appeared that snoopy was asleep.
Assignment 24: 3D Ginger bread house:
Now we return to photoshop where we will now make our ginger bread appear 3D. First you open up  a background of your liking. then opening the the picture of the gingerbread house in photoshop u transfer it by copying & pasting. now by making a copy of the image u choose to make 3D, label it red and double click on it to open up the blending tools. click on the red and deselect the other colors. using the right arrow move the image to the right to get the final 3D look.
Assignment 25: Glow button
for this glowing button i used photoshop it was really fun creating this assignment. we first begin with creating a black circle and the copying that one and with the copy we re-size it so that it's smaller than the original one. with this one we add gradients and glows to give it a nice appearance. we then add filters to give the button an aluminum appearance. after the button is done he add some animation to it this will give the button the ability to glow. when we are done we save it as a GIF which is a lossless format for image files that supports both animated and static images.
if you would like to recreate the glowing button go to the link below:
Assignment #26 (test):
for this showcase room i have created a rectangle with different prospective. i then added gradients and shadows to make my rooms come to life. i then added myself into my room. although i got help from my fellow classmates i did it all by myself.

2nd Marking period

11:club flyer

To create this club advertising flyer first you must create a 7x 5 in OR 5x7in document with RGB color and 100 resolution. Then you would click the gradient tool to what ever color you would like to create the background, when satisfied add text layer and type your club name and make it stand out by adding various effects to it. For example i used a glass and plastic effect so that it would grab the readers attention. The link to these to tutorials are down below:

12: Texture with layer mode:

For this assignment I looked for a long, solid white dress to that the texture would be visible. Since I didn't want the dress to look plain I used a purple-ish blue Galaxy print. To create this I used Adobe Photoshop and opened the image up. I then used the magnetic lasso to select the section of the dress i wanted. I then included the texture into the dress section and added a clipping mask so then the dress and texture would go together. As a result the dress has a new look (texture).
13: Junk Food Flyer
NOTE: The NYC Food Bank LOGO was ONLY used for educational purposes. No Copy Right Infringement was intended

To create this flyer I wanted to create something catchy since we are trying to spread awareness of junk food. So I used a pizza example. So for this project I used adobe photoshop and then I used the magnetic loss to select the original pizza and then i deleted it to include the watermelon pizza image. Use text layers and used blending options to make the text stand out. At the end I used a shape creating tool to make a banner. Then I lowered the opacity to get the banner look, when finished i saved it as a JPEG & PSD

14: Pumpkin
Create my pumpkin i first selected the perfect pumpkin to get my scare on. i used adobe photoshop and used the magnetic lasso to get the pumpkin into the new document. i then used the pen tool to make the shapes to give the pumpkin a face. i then used blending options to make the pumpkin look like there is light coming out of it. I also used the brush to extend the light outside of the pumpkin and added a text to go with the occasion.

15a: displacement
for this assignment i used adobe photoshop in order to get this image on a brick wall. i then followed the steps in the tutorial. i dis-saturated  the brick color so that the image that will go on top. i used displacement in order to get the full creation. steps for this creation can be found at

15b.

to create my Leonardo Da Vinci displacement picture i used photoshop i then followed the steps on the previous assignment to get the same texture effect.

16. Motion blur:
For this assignment i wanted to create a illusion of something that was moving so i looked for a race car that was at rest. i then saved it as a JPEG and in adobe photoshop i then opened it as a smart object. i then applied  a filter- blur- motion blur, angle 8 pixels 25 to get the proper blur. After that step i used a brush tool to get the object stand out and look like it moving. When applying the before picture, exp[and the canvas size so that you can see the difference in both images.
17. Quick Masking
to give an image a desired effect, look for an image (or selfie) and open it up in Adobe photoshop. click on brush and make sure the color is set to black. click on quick mask and the color should appear red. then turn off quick mask so that the place is selected. SELECT- inverse and then you can add desired details.
18. soften skin tone:
to create this assignment i made a copy of the original background , and then I went to FILTERS- Gaussian blur and set the radius to 5 pixels. then i selected the brush and set it to a size of the eyes so i could completely cover the eyes. this will give the eyes a sharper and stand out.
19. Flash drive
Today I started using a new program called Adobe Illustrator and began to create a flash drive on a 550 px by 550 px. By using the shape tool i clicked on the page  and imputed the  dimensions needed to create the shapes of the USB. i then merged the shapes to create one SOLD shape. i then added a gradient to each shape so that the flash drive will have a realistic color to it.

20: WIRELESS CELLPHONE
For this assignment i had to create a virtual wireless cellphone so that it could count as a test. i first started creating a 147 px by 440 px rectangle to have a base for my phone. I then proceeded to offset the path so that the cell phone would look like it has various layers. by editing each layer and rounding the corners, i would give the phone a more realistic view. i then proceeded to creating the screen and the buttons and by adding effects to the buttons it looks like an actual cell phone button. The gradient full was a huge help because it gave the phone the appearance of having light begin show from the left side of the phone. After that i had the finished look i wanted and saved it as a Ai, PDF, & JPEG.

1st Marking period

Conclusion:
For this Marking period I learned the basics of what is multimedia. Most of the assignments, required us to create works of art using Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint,  and Microsoft Publisher. We would start with a basic 6x4 document layer and then we continued to create many assignments. Some would require us to use gradient tools, magnet tool, magic wand, and various colors to make our projects stand out. I also learned various shortcut such as shift F5 to fill in a certain place that has been selected, Ctrl+ T is to edit the size of a text or picture. With this knowledge I will now be able to continue creating multimedia works of art.
